A University of Maine alumnus says "adopting a broader worldview often proves helpful in addressing difficult issues. Many of our allies around the globe have ratified marriage equality. Canada legalized same-sex marriage years ago, yet our northern neighbor has not degenerated into a dystopian mess as a result. To the contrary, Canada's deliberation in the matter of marriage equality demonstrates a healthy separation of church and state. [Link]
