Although efforts have been progressing for eight years to enact marriage equality in New Jersey, time is now running out. Yesterday, more than 300 ordinary citizens, including more than a few from Maplewood and adjacent towns, descended on Trenton to engage in the hallowed American tradition of petitioning their government.
