Chris Geidner blogs about the anti-gay Manhattan Declaration, that says, among other things, that "Marriage is not a 'social construction,' but is rather an objective reality—the covenantal union of husband and wife—that it is the duty of the law to recognize, honor, and protect." Says Geidner: "Disagreement about 'objective reality' aside, the document is, in fact, nothing more than a declaration of the continuing importance of the First Amendment." [Link]
