The Los Angeles County and San Francisco bar associations are among 40 bar and legal organizations that filed a brief with the Calif. Supreme Court urging the justices to invalidate Prop. 8: "[I]f the majority can relegate disfavored minorities to second class citizenship via the initiative process, no fundamental rights are safe."
