New Hampshire's Senate Judiciary Committee holds a public hearing on the bill on Wednesday ahead of a full senate vote expected this month or early in May. "It's going to be close in the senate. It is such a political football," said Mo Baxley, director of New Hampshire Freedom to Marry. "But I have no doubt this will happen here. The question is when." [Link]

It's a miracle that New Hampshire would even consider same sex marriage. When I lived in my beloved Henniker, my State Representative, Jack "Happy" Chandler suggested that if homosexuals wanted to donate blood, they should be required to donate all their blood at one time. The progress made in New Hampshire just amazes me. Let's hope that some enlightenment will come out of this bill.
