Actor David Hyde Pierce joined a long list of celebrities in 2008 opposing Proposition 8 including Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Brad Pitt, Ellen Degeneres, Molly Ringwalk, Bridget Finda, Jason Tam, Stephen Bing, Gus Van Sant, George Takei, Barbara Streisland, Melissa Etherride, Mary J. Blige and Rob Reiner but his support of marriage equality, and not simple opposition to Prop 8 was reported in the media until news of his marriage to Brian Hargrove on October 24, 2008.Pierce said of his wedding ring, “This wedding ring means so much to me. We've been together so long. It represents all the years since we first met. It represents all the family and friends who supported us all those years. It represents all the family and friends we've lost together. It represents the future that we don't know what it's going to be but we know we're going to face it together until, as they say, death do us part.”

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I wasn't at the rally but I'm glad I found David Hyde Pierce's remarks. They really moved me and I wish him and Brian all the best. I had the pleasure of meeting David after a performance of the musical "Curtains" on Broadway and he was so generous and gracious with his time. A great actor and a very classy person.
