Momentum seems to be growing for New York to enact a gay-marriage bill. Five other states have now passed the measure, and it is expected to be overwhelmingly approved by New York's Assembly on Tuesday. The Assembly first approved the gay-marriage bill two years ago by a vote of 85-61. Supporters are expecting it to pass with potentially more than 90 votes next week, including at least a handful of Republicans. [link]
