Nice day for marriage equality

Vivian Polak was on her way out of town on the day that Iowa legalized the freedom to marry this past April. “When you have been treated like a second-class citizen for many years, it's something to have [validation] like this,” says Vivian Polak. “I'm very optimistic now for New York.” Evan Wolfson, Executive Director of Freedom to Marry, says “As important as it is, this is far more than personal.
