The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is expected to vote today on whether to allow the ordination of gay clergy in committed relationships. Leaders are debating "how the Bible should inform policy, how the denomination can best serve its mission, and how [a more accepting policy] would affect the church’s relationships with the broader Christian community."
