Calif. Lawmakers Approve Bill Honoring Marriages of Same-Sex Couples Performed Outside the State

Senators in California approved a bill late Wednesday that honors marriages between same-sex couples performed outside the state prior to November 5, 2008. The California Supreme Court previously rejected a challenge to Prop 8, but allowed marriages between same-sex couples performed between June and November of 2008 to stand. The bill clarifies the ruling by including out-of-state marriages. [Link]
