Maine GOP gubernatorial candidate Peter Mills, who is currently a state senator, has come out in support of full marriage equality for same-sex couples and believes 30 years from now the issue will not even be up for debate. Dede Scozzafava, a GOP congressional candidate in New York, also supports marriage equality. A growing consensus in favor of the freedom to marry in conservative circles has cheered LGBT Republicans.
