New York and New Jersey waiting for Vote Dates

State legislatures in N.Y. and N.J. have yet to schedule long-awaited votes on bills that would extend marriage equality to gay couples. Despite delays, many LGBT equality advocates remain optimistic that marriage for gay couples will advance in these and other states.
