Petula Dvorak lambastes officials at the Archdiocese of Washington and Catholic Charities for their threat to cease their services to D.C. communities if the D.C. Council does not change a marriage equality bill: "[They] are telling our city's most vulnerable people [...] that they are willing to throw them on the table as a bargaining chip. What the Church is doing is an uncharitable and cruel maneuver." [Link]

Given their total lack of morality, I seriously wonder if the Catholic clergy are skimming off of these contracts.
