The Institute for American Values' David Blankenhorn testified Tuesday in support of Proposition 8, but when he was cross-examined by plaintiffs' attorneys, he admitted to writing in a book that the U.S. would be "more American on the day we permit same-sex couples to marry than we were on the day before." He also admitted that marriage equality would "improve the well-being of gay and lesbian households and their children." [Link]
