Procedural moves by Iowa Republicans that would have forced a vote on putting an amendment to ban marriage equality in the state constitution failed Tuesday because Republicans could not get enough votes in either the House or the Senate. It will now likely be 2014 at the earliest before voters could decide on the issue. [Link]
