Voice for Equality: Kirsten Gillibrand

In a video presented at the national dinner for the Human Rights Campaign in February 2009, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (NY-D) cut right to the core of the current debate when she began her statement with, "I believe in marriage equality."

Kirsten Gillibrand was sworn in as New York’s Junior Seantor on January 27th, 2009, replacing current Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Prior to her appointment to the U.S. Senate, Gillibrand served in the U.S. House of Representatives representing New York’s 20th Congressional District, which spans across ten countries in Upstate New York.

Congratulations and thanks to the Juniior Senator for being a Voice for Equality!
