We see marriage in this country as such an inalienable right that if you are Richard Ramirez or Charles Manson - you can still get married. That is your inalienable right. And not only get married, but get married several times, conjugal visits, whatever you want.
But all my friends who happen to be same-sex couples, and who are raising children, and going to church, and paying their taxes, and working as school teachers, and everything else in the world, can't. Do we really want to be the people in the world who are supporting murderers and killers getting married instead of our fine, upstanding LGBT neighbors and friends and congregants by saying it's an inalienable right ... except for them. Not fair.
